Trump is also tens-of-billions of dollars wealthier, on paper at least, than he was a week ago thanks to the latest and biggest grift in presidential history: the Trump meme-coins.
The top political story in Michigan this week: the first A-List Democratic candidate for Governor is officially running. Jocelyn Benson immediately becomes a major contender to win what will likely be a hotly contested primary.
And the state legislative session is off to a rocky start as the new House Republican majority goes hyper partisan. We’re joined on the podcast by state House Democratic Leader Ranjeev Puri.
Leader Puri is serving his third term in the Michigan House. Before joining the Legislature, Puri worked in financial consulting and then went on to work for President Barack Obama. After completing his MBA, he began his work in Detroit’s automotive industry, helping solve complex business problems and developing innovative solutions to help prepare Michigan for the economy of tomorrow.
Representative Puri is the son of immigrants, and a strong advocate for inclusion, equity and equality for people of all backgrounds and experiences. He received his undergraduate degree in economics and finance and went on to receive his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2014.
